Massage is not a licensed profession in Michigan at this time. However, we encourage our students to become nationally certified through National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork.  National certification requires 500 contact hours in a supervised school setting. Candidates take a 160 question written exam, covering General Knowledge of Body Systems; Anatomy, Physiology & Kinesiology; Pathology; Massage and Bodywork Assessment; Massage & Bodywork Application; Professional Standards, Ethics & Business. MIHAS is licensed by the State of Michigan as a Propriatary School - Massage.
